Golf Solitaire is shareware and may be distributed freely as long as it is not altered in any way and this help file is included.
The object in Golf Solitaire is to clear away all 35 cards in the tableau by building the cards upon the wastepile. Only the bottom most card of each column is available for play. The cards are built in sequence, up or down, regardless of suit. The option of direction exists on every play; for example, having put a seven on a six, you don't have to continue up, but may go down by playing another six. Only a two may be played on an ace, and a king stops the sequence - a queen may not be built on it. Each time you find no available cards to build upon the wastepile, turn up another card from the stock. This in done by clicking on the deck in the lower left corner of the screen. You win the game if you clear off all 35 cards in the tableau. You start the game with 35 points and one point is subtracted for each card you clear off. The best possible score is zero.
